Mars - 2002 Sightings

Mar's was seen on April 4, 2002

May Mars' 1993 calf, Putter, was seen on May 22nd among a group of 35-40 humpback whales in the Great South Channel, an offshore feeding area southeast of Cape Cod, Massachusetts. June Mars was sighted on June 6th in the northern waters of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Sighted by IWC researchers on June 12th in the waters off Cape Cod. August Sighted on August 19th and 20th in the Great South Channel, southeast of Cape Cod. Not sighted, but her 1983 calf, Putter, was sighted in late August amidst a group of 70 humpback whales in the Great South Channel, southeast of Cape Cod.
