| April Salt's 2000 calf, Mostaza, was sighted in April 2002 |
| May Seen last month on Stellwagen Bank, Mostaza (Salt's 2000 calf) was sighted on May 22nd among a group of 35-40 humpback whales in the Great South Channel, an offshore feeding area southeast of Cape Cod, Massachusettts. |

| June Salt was seen bubble cloud feeding on June 1st in the waters east of Cape Cod. |

| Thalassa, Salt's 1985 calf,
was also seen kickfeeding near her mother on the same day. Salt was sighted on June 6th in the northern waters of Stellwagen Bank National Marine Sanctuary. Sighted on June 11th feeding along with a group of 25 other humpback whales. |
| July Sighted again in July in the Great South Channel, southeast of Cape Cod. |
| August Sighted on August 2nd in Great South Channel, southeast of Cape Cod, by researchers from the Center for Coastal Studies. September Sighted on September 24th by IWC Researcher and PMMRC biologist Sue Rocca. |
